Text on the Surface
Lay down text straight on the model using any font installed on your machine, then place it, size it, and color it like any other paint.
Pick the Text tool, type your string, and click the model to drop it onto the surface from the current view. The text is projected onto the mesh and baked into the active layer as ordinary paint, so it wraps the surface and exports like everything else.
Any font on your machine
The font list is read straight from your operating system, so every TTF and OTF face you have installed is available, no importing step. Pick a weight, set the size, and the preview updates before you commit the stroke.
- Uses any TTF or OTF font installed on Windows or macOS.
- Set size, rotation, and color before you place it.
- Paints into the active layer, so you can move on, erase, or recolor it later.
Placing it cleanly
Line the camera up with the surface first, or use the Face Tool to look dead-on, so the text lands without distortion. On a curved panel, keep the string short or place several pieces so each one hugs the surface.
